Are You Ready to Outsource your Podcast?

In this week's episode, I'm talking about if you're ready to outsource your podcast.

If you already have a podcast, you'll know that it is quite a commitment.

There are a lot of moving pieces that you need to keep up with to get your episodes out there on a weekly or bi-weekly, or monthly basis.

Let's break down all the moving parts:

Recording the episodes

Guests - research and scheduling

Editing

Writing show notes

Uploading

Promoting - creating the content around the episodes, for example, a variety of posts, email marketing and updating your website.

Not forgetting to repurpose and keep promoting all the episodes you've previously released.

And you know, this all takes time it takes time to do

We're all so busy!

Especially if you're doing a podcast, you're handling all the things yourself as well as your business and your personal life.

It can feel a bit much and can get a bit overwhelming. And outsourcing can really help relieve that pressure.

I'm a podcast manager and my aim is to take those pieces off you and do them for you, which will create more time in your life for your work, your clients or your family life.

down all the moving parts to podcast. So there's recording

the episodes. If you're doing guests, there's research and

scheduling those guests, editing the episodes, writing show

Unknown:

notes, uploading and publishing your episodes. Then we get into

Unknown:

the promotion side of your podcast. So this is creating the

Unknown:

content around the episodes, for example, creating a variety of

Unknown:

posts, email marketing, and updating your website. Also not

Unknown:

forgetting to repurpose and keep promoting all the episodes that

Unknown:

you've previously released. And you know, this all takes time to

Unknown:

do. We are all so busy with our work life, our family life,

Unknown:

especially if you're doing a podcast, and you're handling all

Unknown:

the things yourself as well as your business and personal life,

Unknown:

it can feel a bit much and can get a bit overwhelming. And

Unknown:

outsourcing can really help relieve that pressure. You may

Unknown:

or may not know that I'm a podcast manager myself. And my

Unknown:

aim with my clients is to take all those pieces, the editing,

Unknown:

show notes, publishing, promotion, all those pieces,

Unknown:

take them off you and do them for you, which will then create

Unknown:

more time in your life. For your work for your clients, or more

Unknown:

time for family life. All you need to do is send me the

Unknown:

recording, and I'll do the rest. So if you think this sounds like

Unknown:

you, if you're feeling overwhelmed, you've not feel

Unknown:

like you don't have time for your podcast, or you need to

Unknown:

create more time for you to spend in your business or your

Unknown:

family take a little bit of time to to reassess what you're doing

Unknown:

and how you're doing it. How much time are you spending on

Unknown:

these tasks, a great way to find this out is to use an app like

Unknown:

toggle, which is what I use to tie my work I did this when I

Unknown:

was a VA as well. You can literally time was off doing all

Unknown:

these tasks. And it gives you an idea of how much time you're

Unknown:

spending on all those things. This is a really great tip for

Unknown:

the rest of your business as well, to get you to realise how

Unknown:

much time you're spending, working on your business, not as

Unknown:

well as the client work that you're doing. So you can work

Unknown:

out how much time it's taking you to do all these pieces and

Unknown:

really then assess how much time you have in day to day, week to

Unknown:

week. And you know, then looking at outsourcing those things.

Unknown:

Then you need to think about are you comfortable handing off

Unknown:

these tasks? Are you happy if somebody else does these pieces

Unknown:

of work for you. And it may be that you don't need to outsource

Unknown:

all of it. Maybe you just want to outsource the editing and the

Unknown:

show notes and the uploading side of things and you're happy

Unknown:

doing the promotion around your podcasts or maybe it's the other

Unknown:

way around, perhaps you're happy doing one of those other things

Unknown:

but you just don't want to do the social media side of things.

Unknown:

Then you can send your content over to whoever is going to be

Unknown:

doing it for you. And they can create a delivery audiograms the

Unknown:

clips or social posts or the graphics around promoting your

Unknown:
